It looks like they are upset screaming, but they are really yelling "CINDERELLA!"
they were playing nicely and I was thinking today how small they were when first went to the museum and played In Cinderella's carriage.

"CINDERELLA! "
Monkey bars
This isn't the best video because I had to lift her up and then record it. Molly can do monkey bars! She has been trying for a while and today there were monkey bars in the Dora and Diego exhibit, so she tried (and tried ) until her hands hurt!
Molly crafting
At strong museum today Molly found all these scraps of material. She decided to cut them (with kid scissors) and then was taping them together to make something. Lol and the other day she asked if she was old enough to learn to sew.

Lotions & Potions
To spare you ALL the boring details, let's say I make a body butter that cost me $2.50 to make. I charge $5. So if I sell 1 jar, I make $2.50 profit. When the day was done and I subtracted from my profit the cost of the show ($25) and the cost of my donation to the raffle, I made less than $10. This is not including my time, time to make the products and time to sit in the booth and the cost of driving there, etc.
While these things are bummers, this is not what bothers me most, as I truly believe that most people will like my product if they give it a chance and they will come back for more.
THIS is what bothers me: I went into a relatively new store in the mall last week because they boast "fresh handmade cosmetics". First off, my olfactory system almost shut down upon entering the store. The nice girl helping me browse the huge selection was saying "here, smell this, smell this." Well, honestly I couldn't smell hardly anything because the entire store was just a giant wall of stink. They claim to use lots of organic and natural ingredients, which they do! But they also use added fragrance (did I mention the smells?), added colors, SLS, alcohols, parabens, stearic acid, just to name a few of the ingredients that turn me off. And now let's talk price. A 0.3 ounce lip balm cost almost $7. SEVEN DOLLARS people. I charge $2 for 0.15 ounces and there isn't any garbage in my lip balm.
Obviously, I can opt to not shop in this store. Fine. But my questions are:
Why do people choose to shop there and pay those prices?
And why do I already feel guilty charging the prices that I do when I know my product is awesome?
(Why don't more people buy my stuff?)
I don't really want to raise my prices. I want my prices to be set so that people can try them and won't feel like it's a big investment.
I don't know. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

Funny Molly-isms:
1. she had started using units of measurement, but incorrectly. She measured Ruby the other day and says she was "8 minutes tall." 2. Everything lately is "...as a whistle". of course "clean as a whistle". But also "fast as a whistle", "dirty as a whistle." Funny girl.

Tiny sprouts
Ruby has been doing tiny sprouts. She had 2 days of soccer, 2 days of basketball, and this is the first of2 days of tennis. She loves it. She wanted to do this class when Molly took it and Ruby was only 1.5 years old or so. Lol
Sailboat
Molly and Ruby's first ride on the sailboat!
We had our friends the Misras and the Piersons at the lake this weekend. Right after this sailboat ride, Andy and Jenn went for a ride a tipped it over on their first turn. Everyone was fine. Ironically, the rest of us were all busy playing and didn't notice right away.
Radios
Molly has a new craft hobby. She makes radios! Here's one she made for me and one she made for Ruby.
Ruby is potty trained!
Ruby is potty trained! Molly very nicely shared her big girl panties with Ruby, but they needed some more. On a busy errand day, they picked some out and played with them in the truck. At one point, they each had 7 pairs on their heads!
When i got back in the truck from picking up our CSA, this is what i found. I love that Molly is looking at me as if I am the crazy one!
Peyton's house, etc.
We needed a map to get there. We had so much fun! We (tried) to go strawberry picking, played in the pool, the sandbox, the swing set, marshed mellows, slept in the basement one night and in the tent another!
On the way home we checked out a kids museum in "toga city". Then went to the lake for most of the week for 4th of July.
We let the girls stay up for fireworks. We even watched some from the boat. Ruby thought they were loud. Molly liked them but when we put her to bed she said "I'm such a tired girl. You shouldn't have made me stay up so late. I never want to stay up this late again." I wish I had that recorded!

After pool
After playing in the pool, they like to snuggle up and watch some TV. Cute, huh? Yeah, we think so too.
Pool
The girls love to play in the pool. Many afternoons are spent like this. Well, not always with Molly holding Ruby at gun point, but some thing similar.
Berry picking
Ruby picking blueberries. We also picked cherries on this adventure. On other adventures we picked strawberries. We like to pick berries!
Haircuts!
These were well over due. They love this place. They get a haircut, a hair bow, m&ms, skittles, popcorn, and a balloon! Not sure why they had to stand on top of the slide for me to take their picture.
