Our Christmas photo

The second picture we took.

And I ordered my FREE shutterfly cards that I got for my blog about Shutterfly products. I can't wait to get them! I ended up getting a different design than ones I previously looked at, that went better with the picture. Truth be told, Corey picked the design.

bikes!

Molly looks so happy on this bike doesn't she? She cried the whole way out of the store too because we weren't getting it. She just got to sit on it while I got some boots. It probably didn't help that the store before this Corey said to her "the next thing you'll get is a bike." He meant she wasn't getting some other ride on toy from the previous store because we already have a lot of ride on stuff. But he didn't mean "NEXT" like the very next thing she will get, but the next ride-able toy.

Of course Ruby had to try one too!

snow and Dora

Molly & I sledding on Sunday. Not much snow, but fun.

Molly, Ruby, & I sledding today. Lots MORE snow and fun anyways.
Ruby in her snowsuit is the typical kid in a snowsuit. Can barely stand in the snow or even get her hands together to sign "more". Carrying her up the hill and dragging Molly on the sled is a work out, but totally worth it. Ruby says "Wheeeeeee Momma. Wheeeee!"
There isn't a picture of all 4 of us riding down together on the single sled. LOL

Dora time. Almost every night we watch Dora the Explorer. Tonight the girls got pillows and blankets and laid on the floor. Too cute!

This is Molly & I sledding on Sunday. The hopping we do at the end is because we usually slide backwards.

behind the 8 ball instead of the camera lens...

Well, it's been a while since I've updated. I've been busy. Yeah, yeah, the story of a mom's life, right?

Some friends and I have been desperately trying to accomplish last minute, end of year type tasks. On some of our lists were completing this year's photobooks and, of course, Christmas cards. I've received and given Shutterfly photobooks on several occasions, but was shocked to realize that they do all these neat cards too! (Yes, I live under a rock! )
http://www.shutterfly.com/photo-books They have GREAT deals right now! And new backgrounds and layouts (well, new to me since my last photobook creation). I truly prefer Shutterfly's quality and ease of use for creating these books. I have checked out several sites and I always end up using Shutterfly. And the ALWAYS have some sort of promotion going on, so they have the same price as the cheaper guys, but the quality is amazing. Of course, garbage in, garbage out- you have to take good pictures. But even with just point & clicking on my camera (or my cellphone!) and a little cropping and arranging. If, I do say so myself, I have made some awesome books.

So now I HAVE to find the time to get us all prettied up and set up the camera and take some pictures for Christmas cards. I know I could go somewhere, but our girls are more smiley at home. I prefer them this way. If they were always grumpy at home and smiley when out and with strangers, I'd be worried.

Do I choose the Christmas Letter in blue with black & white or in color and green?

http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/cards-stationery/christmas-letter-christmas-card-5x7-flat?sortType=2&storeNode=93479&fe=1
But then I have to actually write up something, when I could just include a cute picture....

"Be Good for Gooodness Sake" is incredibly cute.
http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/cards-stationery/for-goodness-sake-christmas-card-5x7-flat?sortType=2&storeNode=93479&fe=1

Or I could be trendy (and because it is already the 6th of December), I could do a Happy New Year's Card. I especially like this one:
http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/cards-stationery/tangerine-wishes-christmas-card-5x7-flat?sortType=1&storeNode=60791

Hmmm... Maybe I should do a card with last year's picture that we didn't send out and this year's picture (that is yet to be taken).

Well, now it's time for bed to dream about all the choices and maybe I'll awaken with more the choice made for me.

Shutterfly is having a blog promotion.

Maybe I'll get 50 cards FREE! I like free.

love is in the air

O G Gangster Molly rocking the snowpants and tutu combo

"Baby you can drive my car"
Molly loves to drive and Ruby lets her because otherwise Ruby still goes mostly backwards.

Popcorn, milk, & Dora

This was pretty cute. Molly was playing peek a boo with Ruby from behind the cabinet. Molly would jump out and say "Hi Ruby!" and Ruby would laugh and Molly would run to her and they would hug.

Peeing at the rest stop

So, we're on our way home from a party in CT and stuck in traffic on the I-90 and Molly says "I have to pee." We tell her "It'll be a while." She says "I'll be in my little potty." So we pull into this rest stop that doesn't have facilities and Corey set her up on her little potty, but gave her privacy in the back of the truck. LOL Apparently many toddlers had to go, because a few other cars pulled in beside us while we were there and the parents nodded and laughed at the idea.

The joys of potty training... :-D

Happy Birthday Ruby!

Yay! Ruby is 1! She liked her cupcake too! She ate a bit and then looked at me and said "done" or "down" and started handing me all the bits that were left. LOL We now have a 1 year old and a 2 year old in the house for the next 3.5 months or so.

These videos gave me issues uploading them. Hope they work.

Ruby's Car

So Ruby got a Cozy Coupe Car for her birthday. Good thing she shares with Molly! Molly loves this thing. I should have known. When we go to someone's house with one, Molly will spend the whole time there in it. Maybe the novelty will wear off and then Ruby can play with it some more. So far, Ruby can only push herself backwards in it, but she likes to climb in and out of it.

Molly's Car

Molly has found that if she does certain things her car spins the wheels. She is also obsessed with driving backwards now. She thinks it's funny. At least she's starting to steer a little more.

snake sprayer

Just a quick picture of the girls playing with the snake (water sprayer) at grandma and grandpa's house. To remain the favorite daughter in law, I did not post the videos of grandma playing in the water with Molly. :-)

learning to ride & walk

eldest darling daughter has pretty much mastered her trike! but the grass is difficult for her to pedal on. Sometimes she falls down. She was pedalling across the driveway and Corey turned around and found her like this. Notice how safe we are with a helmet on her head and one strapped to the push bar! LOL
She says "lawsuit" at the beginning of the clip.

youngest darling daughter is walking! She crawls or cruises to her chair and uses it to climb up and then walks across the room. Bigger sister always likes to get in on the act. If not in the way, she says, "Yea, Ruby's walking! Good job Ruby! Come on!" LOL

She dresses herself...

Off the Hook

It's been a while since I've posted and I'm letting myself be OK with that.

So here's some new random stuff.
4 of us in the princess tent. I like how we're all looking different ways.

this is Ruby playing in the princess tent.

this is a great little song Molly is singing. The funny thing is, she did NOT poop her panties. And yes, that's me yelling "we don't poop our panties!"

Molly's Day

The GOOD: 2.5 years old today!

the BAD: locked Momma out of the house (Molly & Ruby inside). Ruby cried while momma ran around ringing doorbells trying to find someone home to call daddy. Molly couldn't unlock the tumbler lock that she locked, she tried though. She also tried to unlock the deadbolt to the garage, but couldn't. Finally, Molly was able to unlock the front door deadbolt. Molly was upset, but I praised her for listening to me and unlocking the door like I told her to. I also showed her how to work the tumbler lock.

The FUN: FINALLY, on the last day of swimming, jumped in the pool with no hands and wanted to do it "AGAIN!" and "AGAIN!"

The POTTY: she said she had to potty and sat and peed and pooped!

I know I have to update almost the whole month of May, but I wanted to post this.

Will Climb for Shoes

Ruby can climb the step! Oh dear. Life as we have known it will never be the same.

Story Time

Grandma reading to Molly.

Ruby reading to herself. Sometimes when you try to read to her, she gets mad. She wants to hold the book and turns the pages as she pleases. Her favorites are "Good Night Moon" and "Big Little".

Where's socko? & tunneling

Baby socks fall off... but this one stuck to the rock wall. LOL

Molly asked to get the tunnel out. The girls LOVE it. Check it out. The laughing and shrieking!

Also, no clips of it yet, but Ruby started clapping this week.

Eat Outside

It was nice outside and Molly always asks to eat outside. So we invited Grandma and Grandpa over for some pizza for dinner. Prior to dinner, Molly said "I'll sit at my table and Grandma will sit there too." And Grandma did.

First Boat Ride of the Season!

We had our first boat ride of the season today. It was gorgeous out and we were going for a walk. We made it about 2 houses when a neighbor started his boat. That flipped our switch. Corey was hooking the boat up and I was making lunch!

The trip went flawlessly, I think. Ruby isn't too keen on her life vest and got tired. She napped on the boat, at home, and then went to bed early. She's a tired girl.

Molly was tired tonight too. No Nap today. Oh well. She went to bed flawlessly. :D

Ruby in her milk coma before going upstairs and getting ready for bed.

Daffodil Meadow?

Well, we were supposed to go to Daffodil Meadow. We tried. Molly was never going to make it there. The hike was too much for her. We did talk about the stream and the fallen trees and the trees that looked like beavers had chewed them, but mostly she talked about going to a park with swings.
I said "your friends are at a park with flowers and no swings".
She said "I want to go swing."
So we went to a park with swings. She said "our friends not here. They at a different park, with flowers."

First some pics of the girls driving cars. This is what I have to look forward to in 14 years!

I can't see my camera screen in the sun, so I was taking these blindly not knowing that it was upside down. I THOUGHT I fixed these, but I guess not.

mmmmm...

Molly enjoyed lunch. Chocolate Dream Peanut Butter (like Nutella). Yum!

crafting & playing

This is how Corey found us his afternoon. Crafting. Ruby wanted to watch. I stood her up, but she stood there at the table for several minutes while we smeared glue on stuff.

Molly & Ruby playing. I think Molly hands Ruby a turtle and says it's a snail. But at least she's sharing!

Molly wears panites

On her head.... And she was running around saying "I'm SUPER GIRL!"

Ruby can wave

Ruby shaking her rattle. She just started waving too. Her first time was to Molly at nap time! Too cute. I bet you can imagine. I love the end of this video when she grabs the baby dolls foot and shakes that too. She's funny!

carousel

we went to the mall to buy momma a dress. ANd we had lunch (because momma took forever) and then rode the carousel. I believe this is Molly's second time. And her first time was almost exactly a year ago in Philly! It was Ruby's first time.

Notice Ruby's outfit? Hearts. She has on a pink shirt under her heart sweatshirt. She also has on pink socks and pink shoes. So why do people say stupid things like "Oh. He's gonna have red hair, isn't he?" Hey! Old lady! If you had a boy, would YOU dress him in hearts and pink? Guess I have to make Ruby wear a bow on her fuzzy little maybe-red head.
