Letter E

Molly at Letter E day. Trust me, she has more fun than this picture implies. This was the end. I think she was contemplating it all.
Molly has been participating in Letter of the week activities that a few super moms that we know (thanks Jenn and Kim!) plan. This week was Letter E. We read books about animals that lay eggs and elephants. We filled plastic eggs with beans to make rattles. We did color sorting and counting with plastic eggs. We did puzzle matching with egg shapes with patterns and letters.

We practiced making "E"s and "e"s in shaving cream- Molly REALLY likes this.

We colored "e"s and glued dyed eggshells on them.

Then the kids did egg races in the hallway. This was good to get Molly to "run around" and to go a distance away from me and to play by herself (without me) with other kids.

Then we had a snack (deviled Eggs).
THEN we sang a song and said good bye to our friends and cleaned up. WHEW! I'm tired just typing it all! Such fun!

And Molly is retaining the letters so far. The other day she was putting foam letters in the tub and saying "what's that?" for letters she didn't know and being very proud of the letters she did know. Exciting! She does this with letter magnets too.

diapers

"pink diaper goes on butt"
She did this with the whole basket, naming each color diaper.
When the basket makes it upstairs, she puts them all away, where they go.
I hope she keeps this up. She puts the silverware and cutting boards away too when I empty the dishwasher. She thinks these things are for her to do and gets mad if I do it and that she can't do more.

beads

Fill up the box and dump it out. Again and again and again.

Abcs

The abcs. Ruby is really just trying to cheer Molly on at the end.

BOO!

Molly is a Ghost!

pickle eating

what Molly says is "pickle eating". But obviously she isn't eating the pickle. She says "baby eating" or "teddy eating" or "elmo eating" etc when she's "breastfeeding" them. But she has put pickles on her belly since I was pregnant. We're just not sure about this, but every time she has a pickle spear, this is what she does.

Molly being cheesy.
She loves to wear the tutu and the vest at the same time.

Sisterly Love

The "bones" on these outfits glow in the dark.
Molly has pants (they are really pjs) that have bones on them too.
